While Rangers weren't on the wrists of those explorers back in the '50s, Tudor says this edition celebrates their adventurous spirit with a proper adventure buying replica watch.

The key design elements of the Ranger we've known since the 1960s are the large arrow hour hand (often called the "Ranger Hand") and large Arabic numerals at the base. If you've tried the Black Bay 58, you know all too well the types of cases that can be built around it, so we expect Tudor to have taken advantage of the movement's versatile size and made a similar wearable watch Rangers, like they used it for a few years in the fifty-eight. The specs of this watch are basically what you'd expect from a modern Tudor cheap replica watches: 100m water resistance, sapphire crystal, screw-down crown, and more.

It is similar to the earlier 7965 in most respects: automatic, no date reference, with the same dial text. However, it ran in production longer, at least from 1966 to 1969. Early examples with reference to 7995 use roses, later examples have shield emblems. Also, early examples can be found with the flared minute hand, which eventually made way for the pencil needle. This may not be true for an example that has both a shield logo and a flared minute hand (in fact, I haven't seen the original shield logo Ranger with a flared minute hand).

In addition to the automatic no-date reference, Tudor also introduced date complication versions of the models Ref. 7996 and Ref. 7966. The original crystal will show the Cyclops date at 3 o'clock, but in many other respects the reference looks similar to the dateless Rangers of that era. The movement is ETA 2484, a non-quick-loading movement, again engraved with Tudor Auto Prince on the oscillating weight. In general, reference 7996 appears to be older than reference 7966 in time.

However, unlike the examples we've seen before, the look of this reference remains very similar throughout its production, showing some evolution from earlier references.
