Описание: Quick guide: components for industrial packaging machines The quality of the components you choose will play an important part in the life of your packaging equipment. Your packaging machine parts might rely on everything from cable ties and PCB mounting hardware to clamping levers and screw-on rubber bumper feet. Choose your components wisely and you can deliver a semi-automated or automated packaging machine that performs for years. This guide is designed to help you make those choices. We'll focus on three types of packaging machines, but most of the components shown for each can be used on all machines, such as steel packing machine, cardboard box packing machines, carton wrapping machines, and sheet packing machines. Free samples and CAD downloads To make your job easier, we've made available free samples on most of our solutions, so you can try before you buy. You can also download free CADs of our solutions to help with designing your project. Strapping machine components Sometimes called banding strapping machines, they tension, seal and cut the strapping in one motion. Your design will depend on the strapping demand. Whether your application will be a pallet strapping machine, box strapping machine or another type, consider the recommendations below, which are ideal for semi-automatic or automatic strapping machines. Where relevant, the components you use should not only help the machine's performance but contribute to health and safety, so consider insert glides and recessed handles. Your strapping machine also needs protecting. Use caps and plugs to protect critical profiles from damage during handling and transportation. You can also get a professional finish by using high-temperature masking for holes and contact points with easy-to-fit caps and plugs. Steel pipe stacking machine, also called stackers, are the most important lifting and transportation equipment in a three-dimensional warehouse and a symbol that represents the characteristics of a three-dimensional warehouse. The main function of the stacking crane is to move back and forth in the aisle of the three-dimensional warehouse, store the goods at the entrance of the roadway into the compartment of the shelf, or take out the goods in the compartment and transport it to the entrance of the roadway. The early stacker cranes hung a mast (column) on the lifting trolley of the bridge crane, and used the up and down movement of the fork on the column and the rotation of the column to carry goods, usually called the bridge stacker. Roadway stackers appeared in the United States around 1960. This stacker uses ground rails to prevent tipping. Since then, with the development of computer control technology and automated three-dimensional warehouses, stackers have become more and more widely used, with better technical performance and higher heights. Today, the height of the stacker can reach 40 meters. In fact, if it is not restricted by warehouse construction and cost, the height of the stacker can be higher. What is strapping? Strapping is the process of applying a steel or plastic strap around a product or pallet to bundle, reinforce, or attach it to something. This is done using a strapping machine (banding machine) such as steel belt strapping machine or strapping tool. Strapping machines can be divided into semi-automatic strapping machines, (fully) automatic strapping machines and pallet strapping machines. Strapping tools can be divided into hand strapping tools and battery & pneumatic strapping tools. The purpose of strapping products is to transport and / or store them quickly and undamaged in an efficient and safe manner. How does strapping work? The strapping band is applied horizontally or vertically around the product, with the ends of the strapping material coming together. A strapping tool or strapping machine connects these ends after the correct tension has been applied. A strapping tool or strapping machine closes the strapping band using a seal or buckle, or by welding the ends together. After this, the excess strapping band is cut automatically. All materials, sizes and shapes can be strapped. Applications of strapping Examples of concrete applications of strapping are: Closing boxes and shipping containers Bundling for handling and shipping: e.g., newspapers, pipes, wood or concrete blocks Attaching or securing products to pallets and crates Reinforce wooden boxes, cardboard boxes and crates Attach items to flat wagons or flatbed trailers Securing a unit load such as bricks or flat glass Keep rolls of steel or paper together Lifting assistance with for example roof tiles or newspapers Theft protection: it can be seen immediately if the strapping band has been removed Why a Reliable Strapping System Is a Key Part of Successful Automatic Systems In today's manufacturing facilities, typically half of production hours rely on the use of manual or physical labor. Reducing your dependency on manual work through automation has the potential to increase your revenue and efficiency. It speeds up repetitive tasks and allows your workers to focus on other things. If you want to optimize your use of equipment, consider which processes are most apt for automation. Your machines should speed up labor-intensive processes without high maintenance and energy costs. Investing in a high-quality strapping system is one of the best automation decisions you can make because it offers many benefits. Here are seven ways steel stacking and strapping machine line will improve your efficient: 1. Greater Efficiency There are many reasons to automate your equipment — from decreasing labor costs to reducing human error. A reliable strapping system for your manufacturing plant can resolve these inefficiencies while also boosting performance in critical areas. Energy Efficiency A reliable strapping machine can improve energy efficiency by eliminating heat from the sealing process. EAM-Mosca Corporation's ultrasonic sealers do not use continuous heat. Instead, our innovative solution utilizes ultrasonic waves to produce a molecular level seal in the strap. As a result, the machine only requires energy when the seal forms, greatly reducing the energy consumed in the sealing process. Material Efficiency Using an automated strapping system, your facility will use less banding material. When employees strap packages or bundles by hand, they tend to overestimate the strap length. If you band containers of varying sizes, it is harder to gauge the amount of strap needed consistently. An automated strapping system will self-calibrate for any bundle dimensions and cut and seal the exact amount of strap needed. Plus, it can make this estimation in a split second, much faster than manual banding. As a result, you'll experience less material waste and a faster process. The technology can further improve material efficiency because an ultrasonic seal is more consistent than a heat seal. Very often, you can select a narrower, or thinner and thus less expensive strap and get the same or better performance. It can seal both Polypropylene (PP) and Polyester (PET) bands and switch between them with minor adjustments to use the most efficient material for any bundle or load. We've saved some of our customers 100 feet of strapping per coil when they switched to our sealing technology – footage that adds up to significant cost savings. 2. Improved Safety In general, automation has the power to keep the workplace safer by keeping workers away from dangerous processes. Since 2003, workplace safety incidents have gone from five per 100 full-time employees to around 2.8 in 2019, a figure that has held steady over several years. Many experts point to a correlation between a reduction in workplace injuries to an increase in automation. Manual strapping presents opportunities for safety hazards. Manual strapping requires a small team engaged in repetitive motions. An automated machine requires just one operator who can stay out of the banding mechanism's direct line. By removing manual, repetitive motions, you can also create an ergonomically correct environment with fewer muscle-strains. This environment decreases fatigue, allowing your team to stay alert and less likely to get injured. The possibility of tripping hazards is greatly reduced with automatic equipment as well. The sealing technology can also improve safety over traditional automatic strapping systems. Unlike heat sealing systems, the ultrasonic system produces no smoke, fumes, or odors. 3. Lower Maintenance Costs The more reliable your automated equipment is, the less often it needs to be maintained. The longer you can stretch the service life of individual parts, the lower their lifetime cost. EAM-Mosca Corporation's strapping machines reduce your maintenance costs with reliable equipment designed to reduce wear. Mosca's strapping systems with sealing technology feature wear-free DC brushless direct drives. Many of the components are designed to create less wear, such as its sealed bearings, which block dust and debris. And ultrasonic sealing creates no residues like heat-sealing does, which also reduces maintenance. The result of all these innovations is an efficient machine that can run longer with fewer repairs. Another area that contributes to your maintenance costs is the loss of productivity during upkeep or failures. While prolonging the time between repairs helps to lessen these costs, we take things even further. Our system can be disassembled without the use of tools and a head replacement takes only 30 seconds. We also make it easy to change out the strap coil. The machine senses the empty coil and ejects any leftover strap from the feed. The equipment is then ready for a new coil to be loaded, saving time and material. We were able to reduce one of our client's coil change time from four minutes to two minutes when we installed machines. With fast, user-friendly maintenance features, your plant can get back to production in record time. 4. Enhanced Productivity An efficient, automated system improves your plant's productivity in many vital ways. By using equipment that can do rote tasks faster and more affordably, your team can focus on more skill-intensive tasks. That benefit is undoubtedly the case for automatic strapping machines, which have the functionality to band up to 50 items per minute, depending on the application. Manual strapping requires a small team to keep pace with your production lines. An automatic strapping machine needs just one worker to feed packages or bundles for banding. You can even combine it with a conveyor belt system, which can strap items one after the next at a faster rate. Choose from strapping system conveyors and turners built for high volume or adjustable speeds. With so much of the strapping process happening by machine, your workers are freed up for other jobs. What you do with that extra labor can further enhance your productivity. Use that spare time to upskill your workers to form an elite team. Or, move them to delicate aspects of the process that still require a personal touch and critical thinking. When your workers get to focus on more diverse tasks, they are more engaged and productive in their work. You also get the benefit of putting talented workers where they'll be most effective. With fewer repetitive tasks, they'll be less fatigued, less likely to get hurt, and more effective. Another benefit of our technology is that it can handle varying strapping tensile strengths and load sizes. Some bundles, such as soft cloth or thin stacks of paper, need a looser band to prevent damage to the machine product. Others, like heavy pallets and boxes ready for shipping, need a tighter, heavier duty strap to keep items in place. The system can handle all these jobs on the same machine. All you have to do is set the tension required. Furthermore, many facilities need reliable strapping for different sized packages. Our strapping systems self-calibrates to the size of the bundle or load passing through. By tracking the parameters, it automatically cuts the amount of strap needed to secure it. You can send items of varying sizes through the conveyor without having to adjust the settings.

Описание: Choosing the Right Substrate for Your Sign Beginning this week, we will be posting blog articles about the many different sign materials we use. There are so many substrate options for interior signs, exterior signs and even banners. In an effort to help our customers with determining the right material for their sign project, we'll explore a new product each week. This week we will discuss using PVC for Signs. Using PVC For Making Signs This week we'll begin by talking about PVC or, Polyvinyl chloride. Wikipedia has a detailed description of PVC, specifically they mention that it is "cheap, durable, and easily worked". Unlike the PVC used in pipes and even clothing, sheet PVC used for sign making is a very durable formed flat sheet. PVC boards are available in a variety of thicknesses including 1/8″, 1/4″, 1/2″, 3/4″ and 1″. Most commonly PVC is available in 4′ x 8′ sheets, but some thicknesses can also be available in 4′ x 10′ for larger projects. Can You Cut and Shape PVC? We can cut and shape PVC signs using a saw or router. PVC can be cut into sign shapes, sign letters, or logos and it can even be carved like wood or High Density Urethane (HDU). Unlike wood or HDU. With PVC, you do see the pores of the material when it is V-Grooved. However, priming and painting often fills these pores so they are not really visible on the finished sign product. PVC is a very durable material for carved signs. It will never delaminate, rot or split like wood. Because PVC is porous you can make a thicker material without the additional weight and cost of thicker wood or HDU. Vinyl is another form of PVC that is a plasticized PVC that is very thin and can be cut using a plotter…but that's for another week! PVC offers an exceptionally smooth surface which is ideal for applying digital graphics. This is why we use it for many of our Site or Project signs. It allows us to create up to a 4′ x 8′ sign with full color graphics that is durable and fast to manufacture. It requires no painting unlike MDO or wood and makes turning around a quick job easy for us. PVC Signage: Let's be clear and as non-technical as possible in the description of PVC signs. The chemicals and the molecular makeup are the same as the pipe referred to in the opening of this article. The best way to help in differentiating the two as that the signs are more lightweight and porous, meaning full of pores. How does this translate to what you want to know? With all those tiny little pores in a PVC sign, it means it will accept liquids. In your case, it means they can accept ink, and thus we can create graphics on the sign you want for your company. PVC signs have a matte finish, which means it eliminates glare or reflection. It makes your graphics easier to read. If you really feel you want a shinier gloss finish, we can do a decal print and affix it to your sign. Sign Comparisons: Because of its composition, these signs don't tend to crack, split, or rot like most traditional wood signs. PVC signs are similar to acrylic ones, but don't have the glare and aren't as expensive. They're also a bit more durable than acrylic, as well. On the note of durability, PVC is a bit more expensive than coroplast signs, but much more long-lasting. It is more affordable and easier to handle than aluminum. In all, PVC comes with a greater flexibility than many other sign materials, which makes it a well-round choice for indoor sign usage. Indoor vs Outdoor: PVC signs are ideal for extended messaging inside. They should only be put into play outside for a very temporary length of time. While they are better at handling precipitation than their traditional foam board sign cousin, they are still susceptible to water if exposed for any real amount of time. If the sun is left to beat down on PVC signs, they will end up warping. Having to replace a product because of that can certainly get frustrating for you, and we don't want that to happen. Being vigilant in your efforts will help maintain and extend the longevity of your sign. Overall, like foam signs, PVC is not produced to have to deal with outdoor elements. If you require something like PVC for outdoor use, call us to go over some details. We have many government agencies who use an alternative version of the PVC Palight product we generally use. There are a few different ways for displaying your sign inside. It can be at ground level resting against a flat surface. It can be hung, but common sense says that the thicker, heavier a sign is, it should be anchored by mounting it on a wall. This can be done easily and in a few different ways. You can use screws, double-sided tape, an adhesive, or our handy blind fastener system, which adds a bit of class to the display. Here are the 5 reasons aluminium outshines the competition: It's one of the strongest materials in the sign industry Aluminium is known for its strength and rigidity. Even though it is thin and incredibly lightweight, it's strong, and the thicker it is, the greater the panel strength. It comes in primarily 5 thicknesses, but three of them are most common. Thin, small signs (like real estate signage) are typically made with the .040 gauge thickness. Sturdier street signs, (like your neighborhood stop signs) are made with the .080 gauge aluminium. The thickest and strongest gauge, .125, is reserved for heavy-duty signs (like the hazardous materials or evacuation signs at construction sites). When you need a sign material that is rock solid – one that won't split, warp, bow, or shatter – aluminium is an excellent choice. It's remarkably affordable For the level of sturdiness and longevity, you would expect this sign material to be one of the most expensive. It's not. In fact, it's one of the least expensive. When compared to substrates like redwood and even some plastics, aluminium continues to beat out the competition with respect to pricing. It's strong, durable and affordable! It gives a very professional finish And, in this case, affordable doesn't mean cheap! Aluminium signage might not cost you a fortune, but it certainly can look like it did. Metal finishes typically give a very classy, professional look. Whether it's a brushed, polished or mirrored finish, aluminium signs stand out! For that reason, it's often seen in professional offices – i.e. attorneys' offices, courtrooms, higher education facilities, etc. Its shiny finish is super attractive! It's very versatile Whereas acrylic and PVC are not recommended for outdoor signage, aluminium is. And, although most types of wood can be mounted both indoor and outdoor, not all of them can hold up to extreme weather without treatment and edge-capping. Aluminum is perfect for both indoor and outdoor signage! Outdoors, it's rustproof and waterproof, and therefore weather-resistant. That's why it is the ideal substrate for street signs – aluminium will last many years without the material breaking down or failing, which can't be said for plastic or wood. And, indoors, where there's no concern about the effects of sunlight or inclement weather, aluminum will last for decades. It's extremely versatile! It's super easy to customize Need to screen print on top of aluminium? No problem. Need to apply colored vinyl lettering or decals to it? No problem. Want to custom cut it into a unique shape or do specialized cutouts? Again, no problem. Aluminium is super easy to customize! You can give your signage great personality by adding just a little creativity. Aluminium is the ideal canvas for all of your great ideas! There are numerous benefits of choosing aluminium for your signage. The strength, weather resistance, and affordability make it ideal for you. And, that shiny, professional exterior with custom design makes it appealing to your customers. It's a win-win situation with aluminium! When compared to other substrates, it steals the limelight. Stainless Steel Signs Stainless steel signs are not only strong, durable and scratch resistant but also offer an unsurpassed detailed appearance that stands out in any application. Описание: Maintaining Optimum Climate Control in the Greenhouse for Plant Success - Gothic Arch Greenhouses The warming weather is a reminder to greenhouse owners to examine climate control strategies inside the structure so as to ensure crops grow strong and healthy throughout the warmer days and nights ahead. Without such consistency, plant damage and even death can occur. The experts at Gothic Arch Greenhouses, a family owned and operated greenhouse and supply business for nearly 70 years, can partner particular circumstance with quality, affordable, easy to use equipment needed to help ensure optimum climate control inside the greenhouse. "It boils down to three things," says William H. "Buzz Sierke, third generation president of the Gulf Coast based business, "correct lighting, temperature and humidity. To know those, you first must know what conditions are needed for the particular plants being grown in the greenhouse." Sierke encourages all growers, commercial or hobbyist, to think about where a particular plant originates. Take ornamentals and tropicals for example. Ornamentals can tolerate nighttime temps as low as the mid-50's while that temperature can damage tender tropicals that don't want it below 60 degrees. On the other hand, temperature needs for successful seed germination varies as do those of cool or warm weather vegetables. "It all depends on what you're trying to grow, and under what circumstances," Sierke says. Rising temps means higher humidity which, for some crops like Tropicals, is good, for others like some ornamentals, it could be deadly. If the circumstance calls for decreasing humidity levels inside the greenhouse, venting or exhausting the humid air is in order. That means air movement. A closed greenhouse needs a fan to blow hot stale air out of the structure and bring fresh cooler air inside via intake shutters mounted on the opposite end of the structure to create consistent environmental control. Gothic Arch Greenhouses offers a huge selection of greenhouse ventilation fans like our favorite, the Air Flow HAF fan, a specialized greenhouse fan that allows adjustable air patterns to create a uniform temperature throughout the structure to suit any growing need. According to Sierke, the Air Flow HAF is by far, the most versatile, energy efficient, best valued HAF fan available. For larger greenhouses, Sierke says the same optimum growing conditions can be maintained by using greenhouse cooling system which utilizes the hot air inside the greenhouse to evaporate the moisture from plant surfaces thus cooling the inside temps by up to 20 degrees. Whatever environmental control system you choose, you'll need control. Arch Greenhouse can help you choose from a wide selection of the most reliable automatic one, two, or manual variable speed thermostat controls available on the market today, designed especially for greenhouses. And no environmental control plan would be complete without a timer to give freedom over how much or how little light plants get and when. The right automatic timer allows control over automated watering and mist systems, fans, heaters, and other equipment too, allowing one time for other activities. So, as the days grow longer and warmer, take the time now to plan how to create and maintain consistent optimum growing conditions needed for successful healthy plant growth inside the greenhouse during the days ahead. Gothic Arch Greenhouses is the most trusted name in greenhouses with over 70 years of dependable service providing made in the USA, do-it-yourself greenhouse kits, related accessories, and the right environmental control systems to fit any need. Most of the greenhouses in the Netherlands are so-called Venlo greenhouses. This construction is strong, allows a lot of light to pass through, is relatively inexpensive. The Venlo greenhouse is ideal for the Dutch climate conditions. But which design fits in another climate, such as a desert or a humid climate? The Greenhouse Horticulture & Flower Bulbs Business Unit of Wageningen University & Research developed a method for designing one based on local conditions: Adaptive Greenhouse Design. An interactive tool demonstrates the operation and benefits of this method. The Freshteq Fieldlab offers companies and organizations a breeding ground for the development of innovative applications for international horticulture. Within the Freshteq Fieldlab – based in the World Horti Center in Naaldwijk – there are various activities and initiatives. ERDF Freshteq is made possible in part by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). A tool to predict how a crop will grow under certain conditions An example of the Freshteq initiatives is the Adaptive Greenhouse Design tool, an online tool developed by WUR. With the tool, an optimal greenhouse design can be made for a specific region. Today, more than two-thirds of new greenhouse construction is covered with film plastic. Besides the obvious advantages of low-cost, low taxes, ease of covering, four year life and additives such as anti-drip and light diffusion, there are other properties that should be considered when purchasing the material. Manufactures have worked hard to provide a material that will give good service, high light transmission and properties that improve plant production. Most greenhouse polyethylene film is manufactured as a coextrusion of three or more layers with different polymers and additives. Each of these layers contributes to the quality of the film by adding tear and puncture resistance, high light transmission, IR retention, UV blocking, dust control and color pigments. The following reviews some of these often overlooked properties that could influence your purchase decision. Thermicity A plastic film is considered an infrared film (IR) if less than 25% of the heat generated within the greenhouse is allowed to escape. The lower the percentage, the lower the winter heating bill. Regular greenhouse grade polyethylene film allows 30% to 60% of the IR heat to escape. Plastic manufacturers have found that mineral based additives, such as ethyl vinyl acetate (EVA), calcined kaolin clay or synthetic aluminum silicate can reduce the radiation loss. This material is usually added as one of the inner layers in the copolymer. These additives may reduce light transmittance slightly but they also diffuse the light spreading it evenly inside the greenhouse reducing shadows and allowing more light to reach lower into the canopy. It also helps to average out leaf temperatures at the top of the plant canopy reducing the amount of shading needed. Flammability Often building officials question a grower applying for a building permit as to the flammability of the film plastic. Section 3102.3 of the International Building Code states that "Plastic less than 20 mil thickness or located less than 30 feet above the floor as used in greenhouses where occupancy by the general public is not authorized is not required to meet the fire propagation performance criteria of NFPA 701 (National Fire Protection Association)". Low density polyethylene plastic is an oil-based product with a high heat value of about 20,000 Btu/pound. It will burn if in contact with an external flame but does not maintain a flame by itself for very long. The additives used in copolymers could affect this some so obtaining the test results from the manufacturer may be necessary. Also copolymer film may not get building official approval for retail greenhouses. Photoselective films This greenhouse film absorbs or reflects specific wavelengths of light. They can enhance plant growth, suppress insects and diseases and affect flower development. Red films such as Dupont IR and Smartlite Red film reduce PAR light and create a shading effect. They have also been shown to improve rose yield and quality. Disease Control Plastic film manufacturers have developed disease control films that absorb UV radiation in the 340 to 390 nm wavelengths. These have been found to reduce the population of insects such as whiteflies, thrips miners and aphids. The material can also control the spread of certain diseases such as botrytis. As bees need UV to navigate, if you are using bees to pollinate plants in the greenhouse, purchasing a film that allows some of the UV part of the light energy spectrum to pass through may be important. Off-gassing from film Recent research by Dr Sarah-Jeanne Royer at the University of Hawaii in Manoa has found that LDPE film produces methane and ethylene gas when exposed to sunlight. In large poly covered ranges the amount of gas produced may be significant. As these gases can affect plant growth, additional research is needed to determine the level that may have an effect.

Описание: Electric heating: Why is it so popular? For many homeowners, electric heating is the easiest way to heat spaces where a central heating system might not reach. After all, electricity is readily available. Electric heating installation Electric heating is easier and significantly cheaper to install than other heating methods like gas, oil, or biomass. There are no pipes to install, and no flooring to lift. In fact, many electric heaters can simply be plugged in – no wiring necessary. Most can be screwed onto the wall using simple brackets too, making installation a DIY job that most people will be able to do. We provide an electric heating installation service for local customers in Dundee and the surrounding areas. Running costs of electric heating Electric heating has a negative reputation when it comes to running costs. If a home has good insulation installed and modern, efficient electric heaters, then electric heating can still be perfectly efficient for some homes. Most electrically heated homes use storage heaters. Storage heaters use cheaper off-peak electricity to heat up during the night, releasing the heat into your home during the day when it's needed. Modern high heat retention storage heaters are better insulated, so are more able to store heat – that can be used when you need it, rather than leaking heat constantly throughout the day. Their heat output is more controllable, and fan assisted, so you can heat a room up faster or keep it cool if you're not using it. How to use immersion heaters in chemical process applications Immersion heaters have a variety of applications in the chemical process industries. Knowing which heaters to specify and how to install them can make a manufacturing process more cost-efficient. Its time to learn about immersion heater types; typical applications; and selecting, sizing, specifying, installing and using the heater. Immersion heaters, as the name implies, are immersed in water, oils, solvents, process solutions, molten materials and gases, where they release all their heat within the fluid, which makes them nearly 100% energy-efficient. Immersion heaters are offered in a wide variety of sizes, kilowatt ratings, voltages, terminations, sheath materials and accessories. They are often custom engineered for a specific application. The basic immersion heater configurations are the screw plug, flange, pipe insert or bayonet, circulation or in-line, booster, and of an over-the-side style. They?re usually available in a round tubular design or a flat tubular design. The flat variety can operate at a higher watt density without overheating the sheath. Heaters also are grouped into two categories ? pressurized (closed) systems and non-pressurized (open tank) systems. Understanding Electric Process Heaters Electric process heaters use electricity to increase the temperature of liquids and gases within process systems. Depending on the application, electric process heaters may be used for both direct and indirect heating, which makes them a particularly versatile heating option. To help you find the best electric heater for your needs, we have compiled a concise summary of electric process heater systems and their common uses. What is a heating element? Heating elements are typically either nickel-based or iron-based. The nickel-based ones are usually nichrome, an alloy (a mixture of metals and sometimes other chemical elements) that consists of about 80 percent nickel and 20 percent chromium (other compositions of nichrome are available, but the 80–20 mix is the most common). There are various good reasons why nichrome is the most popular material for heating elements: it has a high melting point (about 1400°C or 2550°F), doesn't oxidize (even at high temperatures), doesn't expand too much when it heats up, and has a reasonable (not too low, not too high, and reasonably constant) resistance (it increases only by about 10 percent between room temperature and its maximum operating temperature). In water heaters, the nichrome element is covered with an outer sheath made of stainless steel, tin-coated copper, or INCOLOY? (an iron-nickel-chromium "superalloy," which is rustproof, long-lasting, and works well in hard-water areas). The sheath is insulated from the heating element by magnesium oxide, an unusual material that's a good heat conductor but a poor electrical conductor, so it allows heat to flow from the nichrome but not electricity. Duct Heaters As the name implies, duct heaters are generally designed to be installed into ducting. They are usually installed through the side wall to cause the air in the duct to be heated as it flows around and through the open-coil elements. Duct heaters made by Farnam are not for HVAC use. They are for industrial type applications and are not built to the standards required for the typical residential HVAC. Common Questions about Heating Cable and Heating Tape We get quite a few questions about heating cable here at O.E.M. Heaters: what exactly it is, how to use it, what it's useful for, and so on. We've put together this page, and the articles that are linked here, to try to answer any questions you might have, so you can feel confident that you're getting the right cable and using it properly. What exactly is heating cable (heat trace cable, heat cable, etc.)? Heating cable is, simply put, a cable that gets hot when you run current through it. It's also known as heat trace cable, heat cable, heater cable, and other similar names, but it's different from heating tape and heating cord (see the question below to learn about the differences). There are many different styles of heating cable that will reach various different temperatures and serve various purposes; we have a broad selection that you can browse in our store. We also have some information about the differences between, and uses of, different styles of heating cables. What is heating tape? How about heating cord? Is there a difference? Full article: Heat Tape versus Heating Cable: What's the Difference, and Which One Do I Need? Despite the similarity in names – and even though heating cable is often sold for gutters and roofs under the name "heat tape" – there is a distinction. We've summed up the most important differences between them in the chart below. To read more in depth about the specific characteristics of each one, check out the full article. What kind of heating cable should I use to keep ice dams from forming in my gutter? A lot of folks come to our website because they're looking for a more reliable heating cable for roof de-icing. Typically, the kits that are available in hardware stores (from the mom-and-pop place on the corner all the way up to the big-box retailers) will do a good job for a season, but come next year it's anyone's guess whether they'll start working again. We have a simple solution to that problem in stock: the SpeedTrace Roof & Gutter Snowmelt Kit. This is a kit based around the popular and reliable SpeedTrace family of self-regulating heating cables – these cables are professional-grade, durable products and, with good treatment, we've known them to last a decade or more in use. Combine that with the hassle avoided by not having to go up on the roof every year or two to replace the cable, and the SpeedTrace kit is well worth the investment. Adding any heating cable kit to your roof is a somewhat complicated project, but the SpeedTrace kit simplifies matters by including everything you need, so you don't have to worry about whether you've ordered the right termination kit or go out hunting for downspout hanger brackets. All the information you should need to install it is contained in the kit's installation manual (PDF), which you can also find on the ordering page for any of the kits. How about keeping pipes from freezing? Like with roofs, we offer an all-in-one kit for freeze protection on pipes created around SpeedTrace self-limiting heating cable. How do I run heating cable from a solar panel? (The Rule of Three) We talk to quite a few people who are interested in running heating cable from a solar array – for example, in remote oilfields where some machinery components need to be heated to an appropriate temperature in order to work. This is exactly the sort of thing that low-voltage heating cable is good for, but you may need more power or a different set-up than you planned on. We have a rule of thumb that we use here to find the numbers for a solar-powered heating set-up that will work like you need it to: the Rule of Three for solar heating. It says that: Your solar array should be able to output 3 times the maximum number of watts that the heater will draw. Your battery should be able to hold 3 times the maximum amount of energy that the heater could draw overnight. This may seem like an excessive amount of redundancy, but it's been our experience that with any smaller set-up, you risk power failures. The Rule of Three protects you against long cloudy spells and short northern days. A proper solar array set-up will pay its investment back in saved downtime.

Beginner's guide to cycling accessories: what to take on a bike ride The sheer range of stuff available in a typical bike shop can be bewildering. What's a hydration bladder? Why might you need a turbo trainer? Are mudguards really necessary? In reality, many people cycle happily in their normal clothes, possibly with just a rucksack to carry things. But if you do ride regularly, whether to keep fit or for commuting, there are a number of bicycle supplies that can make your time on two wheels easier, safer and more comfortable. Some are essential, while others are nice to have. A lock If you leave your bike on the street at all, you're going to need to lock it up. This is one area where you truly get what you pay for: good locks are not cheap, but the best ones will resist anything short of power tools, and so make a thief look elsewhere. It's impossible to be certain how good a lock is just by looking at it. Sold Secure provides independent ratings for locks – gold, silver and bronze – and can offer some peace of mind as to the quality of a lock. Many bicycle insurance policies require the use of a Sold Secure-rated lock. If you do want to insure your bike(s), read our guide to finding the best bicycle insurance for you. If you need to leave your bike on the street, or need to secure your bike at home, investing in a quality lock is a small price to pay to avoid the inconvenience of a long walk home and, more significantly, the cost of a new bike. Luggage There are many options when it comes to cycling luggage for carrying things on a bike, from a simple saddle bag for essential spares, to a full set of racks and panniers loaded with enough gear to cross continents. What's best depends on the type of riding you're doing. A saddle bag is, as the name suggests, a bag that attaches to the underside of your saddle. It's typically compact and can be used to carry the kind of spares you might need in the event of a roadside mechanical. German technology and engineering group Bosch, which is the world's largest car-parts supplier, believes semiconductor supply chains in the automotive industry are no longer fit for purpose as the global chip shortage rages on. Harald Kroeger, a member of the Bosch management board, told CNBC's Annette Weisbach in an exclusive interview Monday that supply chains have buckled in the last year as demand for chips in everything from cars to PlayStation 5s and electric toothbrushes has surged worldwide. Coinciding with the surge in demand, several key semiconductor manufacturing sites were forced to halt production, Kroeger said. In February, a winter storm in Texas caused blackouts at NXP Semiconductors, which is a major provider of automotive and mobile phone chips. In March, there was a fire at a semiconductor plant in Japan operated by Renesas, one of the car industry's biggest chip suppliers. In August, factories in Malaysia have been abandoned as national lockdowns were introduced to reduce the spread of the coronavirus. Volkswagen and BMW cut their production as they struggled to get the car supplies they needed to build their cars. These companies and semiconductor suppliers should now be looking to figure out how the chip supply chain can be improved, Kroeger said. "As a team, we need to sit together and ask, for the future operating system is there a better way to have longer lead times," he said. "I think what we need is more stock on some parts because some of those semiconductors need six months to be produced. You cannot run on a system every two weeks you get an order. That doesn't work." Semiconductor supply chain issues have been quietly managed by the automotive in the past but now is a time for change, according to Kroeger, who believes demand is only going to increase with the rise of electric vehicles and autonomous vehicles. Why the Outdoor Industry Isn't Expecting a Slowdown Anytime Soon For many people around the world, if there was one upside to the pandemic, it was rediscovering a love for the outdoors. Fitness tracking app Strava's 2020 Year In Sport report showed a 33% increase in activity participation globally compared to 2019, with 1.1 billion activities uploaded to the platform last year. Fitness watch brand Suunto, meanwhile, reported a 41% increase in walking among American users over the last year, with hiking, specifically, up 25%. As the popularity of everything from trekking to cycling surged, so did the need for the clothing and gear to perform these activities. While the outdoor apparel business had to navigate turbulent early pandemic days, the uptick in interest translated into big business for almost every company selling gear tailored to an activity. "The attention to outdoor lifestyle and active apparel brought us to the surface a little quicker," says Mountain Hardwear Vice President of Sales Troy Sicotte. "It put us in the decision tree a little sooner than what would have happened otherwise." He says the brand, which was in the middle of a major "revitalization," benefitted not only from those exploring the outdoors for the first time, but those doing it on more than one occasion, ready to spend more for higher-quality gear. Families who either never participated in outdoor activities, or hadn't done so in years, were outfitting everyone in their groups as well in preparation for pandemic-safe recreation. "We had two-years worth of (apparel and gear) demand in a season," he says, referring to last spring into summer. He adds a note of confidence overall, saying that all of their categories, especially camping and hiking, will continue to grow as people embrace being outside and make the outdoors a part of their future plans. Although running exists partly in its own space as a speciality sports category, the activity has plenty of crossover into the general outdoor category. Running picked up steam as the weather warmed, and as Brooks Running COO Dan Sheridan notes, brands like his are building their strategy around plenty of continued interest in the year ahead.

The below infographic includes details about several purposes for tarp systems, including securing all items and keeping others safe while products are in transit. Components of a tarp system are also discussed and are broken down based on three types of systems- the electric tarp system, crank tarp system, and ratchet tarp system. The infographic also includes considerations to keep in mind when deciding which tarp system is most suitable for your business needs. A few key points to remember when choosing a tarp system are the size of your products, the ability of the person transporting the items to physically maneuver the tarp, and the distance that your items will be transported. Which Tarp System is Best for You? It's happened to so many of us on the road. You're motoring down the highway, keeping a safe distance from a dump truck - or another large vehicle hauling debris. Before you can react, a rock, scrap metal, or other foreign object shakes loose from the bed, bounces off the road - and crashes into your windshield. If you're lucky, you've got the inconvenience of replacing or repairing a windshield as a result. But the damage can be much worse. This is why most states have laws and regulations in place to require trucks to have a tarping system in place, to control their payload. On the other side of the road, if your business relies on trucks hauling from point A to point B, you need your trucks on the move, not out of commission. For a variety of truck types and dump body sizes, Mountain Tarp has you covered, to keep your drivers safe and your trucks on the job. Why are tarping systems important? Tarping systems keep the roads safe and clear of clutter and hazards. They also safeguard your business from fines and legal action that could result from damages done when payload on one of your trucks comes loose. Tarps can also save you time and money. An automatic system takes minutes to put into place and is more reliable than manually strapping a tarp over the truck bed. They can also reduce work-related injuries and lost work time for trucks that are cited for not having a system in place. Not to mention potential damage to your truck from falling debris. For these reasons, most U.S. states have regulations and laws requiring truck tarp system to be in place on trucks. Which tarp system is right for your trucks? Check out this list of 3 of the most effective and popular tarp systems on the market. Mountain Tarp has you covered, so you can keep rolling. 1. LOCK-N-ROLL SIDE ROLL TARPS The lock-n-roll tarp holds up with hard-to-handle loads. These side-roll tarps come with a standard Gorilla Mesh 22-oz. vinyl tarpaulin material that's also water-tight. Rolling tarp The name of TarpStop's rolling tarp system, FasTrack, partly describes it. Like competitors' products, it has a metal framework that supports a tarpaulin that forms sides and a top over a trailer's bed. The structure's attached to a forward bulkhead and to a rear frame. Some have a fold-down curtain at the rear. The vertical frames are mounted on wheels that roll in tracks, allowing the entire structure to be moved forward or rearward, tarp and all, like an accordion. Working from the trailer's deck or alongside on the ground, one person can fold or deploy the system in a couple of minutes. Part of closing it involves stretching the fabric tight with winch-type tensioners built into the sides at the front or back. The tracks and vertical members are slightly cantilevered outside a trailer's edges, so loads as wide as the trailer's bed can be hauled. That the structures protrude to either side is OK under federal width laws because the systems are considered safety devices, says Jeff Boyd, director of sales at Aero Industries, maker of the Conestoga 2 and Conestoga XP systems. A rolling tarp completely eliminates the handling of individual tarps and reduces the need to climb onto and off of a trailer, making injuries less likely. Some fleets are equipping a portion of their trailers with rolling tarps and assigning those to older drivers, says Tim Demonte, business development manager at Quick Draw Tarpaulin Systems. One drawback is that rolling tarps cannot accommodate over-width loads. Theoretically the system could be rolled all the way forward and tied against the bulkhead's corners so it's out of the way. But this would have to be done carefully or the structure could be damaged by wind, so Aero, for one, does not recommend it, Boyd says. Another downside is weight and cost. A rolling tarp system weighs 1,500 to 2,000 pounds, depending on a trailer's length and a system's make and model, and costs $13,000 to $15,000. Even with discounts for volume purchases, those penalties explain why they are on a minority of flatbeds — perhaps 25%, says Westhke at TarpStop.

Описание: History of steam turbine technology Early precursors The first device that can be classified as a reaction steam turbine is the aeolipile proposed by Hero of Alexandria, during the 1st century CE. In this device, steam was supplied through a hollow rotating shaft to a hollow rotating sphere. It then emerged through two opposing curved tubes, just as water issues from a rotating lawn sprinkler. The device was little more than a toy, since no useful work was produced. Another steam-driven machine, described in 1629 in Italy, was designed in such a way that a jet of steam impinged on blades extending from a wheel and caused it to rotate by the impulse principle. Starting with a 1784 patent by James Watt, the developer of the steam engine, a number of reaction and impulse turbines were proposed, all adaptations of similar devices that operated with water. None were successful except for the units built by William Avery of the United States after 1837. In one such Avery turbine two hollow arms, about 75 centimetres long, were attached at right angles to a hollow shaft through which steam was supplied. Nozzles at the outer end of the arms allowed the steam to escape in a tangential direction, thus producing the reaction to turn the wheel. About 50 of these turbines were built for sawmills, cotton gins, and woodworking shops, and at least one was tried on a locomotive. While the efficiencies matched those of contemporary steam engines, high noise levels, difficult speed regulation, and frequent need for repairs led to their abandonment. Development of modern steam turbines No further developments occurred until the end of the 19th century when various inventors laid the groundwork for the modern steam turbine. In 1884 Sir Charles Algernon Parsons, a British engineer, recognized the advantage of employing a large number of stages in series, allowing extraction of the thermal energy in the steam in small steps. Parsons also developed the reaction-stage principle according to which a nearly equal pressure drop and energy release takes place in both the stationary and moving blade passages. In addition, he subsequently built the first practical large marine steam turbines. During the 1880s Carl G.P. de Laval of Sweden constructed small reaction turbines that turned at about 40,000 revolutions per minute to drive cream separators. Their high speed, however, made them unsuitable for other commercial applications. De Laval then turned his attention to single-stage impulse turbines that used convergent-divergent nozzles, such as the one shown in Figure 3. From 1889 to 1897 de Laval built many turbines with capacities from about 15 to several hundred horsepower. His 15-horsepower turbines were the first employed for marine propulsion (1892). C.E.A. Rateau of France first developed multistage impulse turbines during the 1890s. At about the same time, Charles G. Curtis of the United States developed the velocity-compounded impulse stage. Condensing Steam Turbine Condensing steam turbines are most commonly found in thermal power plants. In a condensing steam turbine, the maximum amount of energy is extracted from the steam, because there is very high enthalpy difference between the initial (e.g. 6MPa; 275°C; x = 1) and final (e.g. 0.008MPa; 41.5°C; x = 0.9) conditions of steam. This is achieved by passing the exhaust steam into a condenser (called a surface condenser), which condenses the exhaust steam from the low-pressure stages of the main turbine (decreases the temperature and pressure of exhausted steam). The exhausted steam is condensed by passing over tubes containing water from the cooling system. Steam is here to stay. Demand grows for small and medium-sized steam turbines Wherever heat is available and there is a demand for power, you are likely to find one of turbomachinery's oldest and world-changing inventions – the industrial steam turbine (ST). The technology has come a long way since its first modern manifestation in 1884, persisting through every market boom and bust. Until 2016, coal's fall from grace and the growing share of renewables on the grid had caused the ST market to contract. But growth and stability have returned. Demand is returning for small- and mid-sized combined cycle power plants (CCPP), combined heat and power (CHP), petrochemicals, biomass and concentrated solar power (CSP) solutions. All include an ST element. With sales recovering, globalization is another trend noted by ST OEMs. Most have established joint ventures with customers and suppliers across the world, which helps turbine companies boost market share, decrease costs, and gain access to new business. Innovation in STs may not be fast paced when compared to the developmental progress made in the gas turbine field. Nevertheless, OEMs such as Mitsubishi Compressor, Doosan ?koda Power, Siemens Energy, Fincantieri, Triveni Turbine, Baker Hughes, Howden, Ansaldo Energia, Elliott, GE Steam Power and MAN Energy Solutions, among others, have made strides in performance optimization, reduction of carbon emissions, improved efficiency, start-up speed/flexibility and in raising steam parameters. Turbomachinery International Magazine interviewed several of these OEMs to find out the latest trends dominating the steam turbine sector. They offer a diverse set of market insights. Steam Turbine Generator The steam turbine generator is the primary power conversion component of the power plant. The function of the steam turbine generator is to convert the thermal energy of the steam from the steam generator to electrical energy. What is a Boiler? A pressure vessel that provides a heat transfer surface (generally a set of tubes) between the combustion products and the water. A boiler is usually integrated into a system with many components. Why use a Boiler? Boilers are used to produce steam. The generation part of a steam system uses a boiler to add energy to a feedwater supply to generate steam. The energy is released from the combustion of fossil fuels or from process waste heat. Where are Boilers Used? Anywhere you are creating heat and/or steam, you will probably find a boiler. ABMA members produce large boilers for the commercial, industrial, utility sector and more. Boiler systems are used to create pulp & paper, generate electricity and process foods. The complexity significantly increases as you increase the size and need for greater performance of the boiler system. What are the major components of the Boiler System? The boiler itself is a main component of a generation system that also includes the fuel supply, combustion air system, feedwater system, and exhaust gases venting system. ABMA members also manufacture the following components. Burner Controls Deaerator Economizer Fan Heat Exchanger Instrumentation Stoker Tubes What are the basic types of Boilers? There are two basic types of boilers: firetube and watertube. The fundamental difference between these boiler types is which side of the boiler tubes contain the combustion gases or the boiler water/steam. Coal fired boiler Coal Fired Boiler uses coal as fuel in order to create energy in the form of electricity and/or heat is very common in the world. The coal comes in many different qualities, and often generate problems with ash fouling. The stricter limits for emissions, also create new challenges for the boilers, such as difficulties with build ups in heat exchangers, SCR and APH. How it works: A Biomass Boiler Climbing oil prices and growing demands for cleaner energy sources inspired many boiler manufacturers to put a fresh spin on the traditional use of biomass to generate steam and heat. Today's biomass boiler integrates modern technology to develop automatic systems that manage the process from emissions and air control to ash removal. With the modernization of steam boilers came hundreds of varieties, sizes and manufacturers, each one presenting new designs, cutting-edge technology, and a preview of what is yet to come. Coolidge, Ga.-based Hurst Boiler, the design of which is featured here, is one of those companies. Waste Heat Boiler (WHB) Using a principle similar to economizers, waste heat boilers recover heat generated in furnaces or exothermic chemical reactions at industrial plants. These locations may contain significant energy that should not be wasted up a stack. Instead, this energy can be captured to generate low-to-medium pressure steam in a waste heat boiler (WHB). A WHB can also be used to remove the heat from a process fluid that needs to be cooled for either transport or storage, and generate steam from that heat. The steam generated in WHB may be used for heating applications, or to drive turbines that generate electricity, compress vapors, or pump liquids. WHB steam may contain significant wetness, so it is recommended that a high efficiency separator and steam trap combination is installed to ensure that the WHB delivers optimal quality steam to the recipient process. Описание: 7 Step Process to Selecting an Industrial Panel PC Industrial Panel PC is designed to meet the demanding requirements of a typical Industry 4.0 application including exposure to moisture and dust, extreme temperatures, and high shock and vibration. The best Panel PC offers a wide array of connectivity, processing and mounting options and are well suited to any number of human machine interface (HMI), automation or industrial control applications. But the proliferation of Panel PCs means that choosing the best system for your particular project, as well as for the environment in which it will be installed, can be challenging. We'll walk you through a 7 step process to select the best industrial panel PC solution to meet your requirements. 1) Do you need a Fanless Solution? Fanless PCs that do not have vents or other openings are a great choice if they are being installed in an area subject to dust and debris. A fanless and ventless solution will keep any airborne particulate out of the internal casing which can lead to performance degradation and often lead to expensive maintenance downtime. Even if the Panel PC is going to be installed in a location where environmental conditions are less of a factor, a fanless Panel PC still maintains the benefit of removing the most common point of failure for most computers – the fan. The end result is a solution with a longer lifecycle which can save you money over the long run. Check out this article to learn more about fanless computing. 2) Capacitive or Resistive Touchscreen? Industrial Panel PCs come in two distinct touchscreen varieties, capacitive and resistive. The primary difference between the two involves how input is detected. Capacitive touchscreens use the human body's electrical field to process input, similar to many of today's smartphones. Capacitive touchscreens are frequently used for installations that require highly accurate touch sensing or multi-touch capabilities such as pinch to zoom so they are frequently used for kiosks and interactive digital signage. Resistive screens rely on physical pressure to transmit touch data. Since resistive touchscreens can be used while wearing gloves, they are a great choice for factory automation and healthcare applications. They are also used when a more tactile interface is preferred. Industrial touch panel Pc is really a good choice. 3) Where will you Install your Industrial Panel PC? As the saying goes, "Location, Location, Location" and this absolutely applies to selecting the right PC for the job. Making the decision about whether or not your Panel PC will be embedded within another enclosure or machine, affixed to a stand, or be mounted to a wall should be considered well before purchase. This should not be determined once the system has arrived and is ready for installation. 4) Is IP Rating Important? The IP rating of your chosen Panel PC can be a very important consideration depending on the environment in which you plan to use it. IP, which stands for Ingress Protection, is a standard designation which indicates how effective an enclosure is at sealing out ingress from both solids and liquids. The first digit in an IP rating represents an enclosure's ability to keep out solids. The rating is based on size ranging from the operator's fingers to particles like dust and debris. The highest solids ingress rating is 6, indicating protection even against dust particles. 5) What Size Touchscreen Do You Need? Panel PCs come in a variety of sizes to meet virtually any situational need. Obviously, depending on your application, you may be limited by a number of factors when you choose touchscreen size. It is important to consider whether it will be mounted, on a stand, on an articulating arm, or otherwise. If so, the weight of the system may also be a factor. You'll also want to think about the resolution of the display. Furthermore, you need to consider how clear and large you'll need the images on it to appear. On that same note, consider whether your application will require a standard (4:3) or widescreen (16:9) aspect ratio screen. 6) Are you Using the Solution in Direct Sunlight? When the sun shines directly on a device screen it can be nearly impossible to see. The fact is that the vast majority of consumer, and even industrial monitors and touchscreens can't emit enough light. It is hard to compete with the glare of the sun. Standard screens are also subject to high glare, which can cause additional viewing restrictions. This is where high brightness (sometimes called sunlight readable) screens come in. Sunlight readable displays provide higher light output. Sometimes the output is double the nits (a common measure of brightness) of standard displays. In additions, screens often feature special filters to reduce glare. If you are looking into purchasing an industrial Panel PC for outdoor use, or for installation in an area subject to direct sunlight, a high brightness, or sunlight readable screen becomes a vital consideration. 7) Do You Need a Solid State Industrial Panel PC? When it comes to a rugged PC system that can handle harsh conditions or mobile installations, simply going fanless isn't enough to ensure reliability. Solid state systems go one step further by replacing the spinning hard drive with solid state storage. An SSD, or Solid State Drive, has no moving parts. Moving parts are more apt to wear out or potentially fail due to vibration, shock or frequent power cycling. Solid state storage has come a long way in just the last few years. Storage capacity ranges into multiple terabytes with prices much lower than when the technology first hit the market. SSD storage is a vital component to creating a truly solid state device for the ultimate in reliability. This is particularly true for vibration or impact prone installations. Magelis iPC industrial all in one Pc for stand-alone or distributed applications has four levels of processors and screen sizes. Smart is a pre-configured, all-in-one terminal for client and HMI applications. Compact iPC includes dual-Ethernet, multiple connectivity options and data storage options; Flex PC Box adds advanced features. Industrial Touch Screen Computers & PCs If you're interested in learning more about industrial touch screen computer, you've come to the right place as we will share all there is to know about them. An industrial touch screen PC is a flat monitor and PC combined into a single system, creating an industrial-grade computing solution that's capable of surviving deployment in challenging environmental conditions that are not ideal for regular desktop computers and monitors. Premio's line of industrial touchscreen computers is engineered and built to reliably withstand deployment and operation in the most extreme environments. Touch panel PCs are capable of withstanding exposure to vibration, shock, extreme temperatures, dust, and debris. Furthermore, one of the main benefits of deploying industrial panel PCs is that they can be mounted in any location where monitors can be mounted, freeing up precious space for other industrial machinery and activities. Another main benefit of deploying an all in one industrial PC is that they are hygienic, meaning they can easily be cleaned via high temperature, high-pressure water jets. What Are The Main Features Of Industrial Touch Screen Computers? We will now discuss the features and benefits of deploying industrial touch panel PCs. Here are the most important features: 1. Performance – CPU Options Industrial grade touch screen PCs can be configured with either the powerful Intel Core processors or the low-powered yet efficient Intel Celeron Processors. The type of processor that's suitable for your deployment depends on the tasks you want your PC to perform and how many applications you want to run simultaneously. The simpler the applications and the fewer there are to run simultaneously, you will need less compute power. 2. Waterproof & Dustproof Industrial touchscreen PCs are waterproof and dustproof because organizations often deploy such systems in environments that expose them to dust, dirt, debris, grime, and liquids. As such, they are water-resistant and dust resistant, enabling deployment in challenging environments that are not suitable for regular desktop computers. 3. High Brightness Hardened Panels The second important feature of industrial touchscreen PCs is their display panel. Typically, panels you will find used in consumer-grade monitors have a brightness that ranges from 200 to 300 nits of brightness. However, the panels that Premio uses in its touchscreen industrial PCs feature a whopping 1000 nits of brightness, allowing operators to see what's on the display regardless of whether the system is deployed indoors or outdoors where it's exposed to sunlight. 4. Aspect Ratio Moreover, at Premio, you will find industrial touchscreen computers that come in a 16:9 aspect ratio for compatibility with new equipment, as well industrial touchscreen PCs that come in a 4:3 aspect ratio for legacy equipment that still supports that standard. However, the trend is to abandon the traditional 4:3 aspect ratio monitors in favor of the 16:9 aspect ratio. Nevertheless, if you have equipment that supports the old standard, you will find 4:3 aspect ratio AIO PCs at Premio. Industrial applications require industrial computers, and there is no question about this. Industrial computers are rugged solutions that offer long life cycle support, the two main requirements for long term mission critical applications. That being said, there are two different implementations that are often considered for these deployments. One solution is an all-in-one touchscreen computer or panel PC. The other option is a two-piece solution consisting of an industrial box PC and touchscreen display. There are benefits with both of these implementations, and I would like to outline the use cases where one may be desirable over the other. Industrial touchscreen panel PCs are the most straight forward solution for most VESA mount and panel mount applications. The computer and touchscreen are integrated into one package, so external cables are unnecessary. All-in-one touchscreen computers can be mounted to an arm or stand or hang on a wall using the VESA mounting holes for a clean appearance. All-in-one touchscreen panel PCs can be panel mounted into a cutout in an enclosure, where the screen is flush with the enclosure surface. Stainless steel all-in-one computers can be mounted in areas that are exposed to liquids, and they offer IP66 protection in wash down areas, which is common in many food manufacturing and pharmaceutical applications. These panel PCs and all-in-one computers simplify industrial automation and OEM equipment designs, as they can be easily integrated as a single piece of hardware.

Описание: Why Aluminium Windows Aluminium windows and doors have become increasingly popular for both commercial and residential buildings. Aluminium window frames can be made to match almost any color and home style. They can also be made in a range of different configurations including casement windows, double-hung windows, sliding windows/doors, awning windows, fixed windows, and lift and slide doors. Here are some reasons why you should choose aluminium. Aluminium windows come in a variety of sizes and shapes and are easily customizable to suit your desired specification. Zeroing in on the right aluminium window frame, design and style can be a tricky task. Aluminum sliding windows and aluminium casement windows are a go-to choice. They are both an excellent option for your home or office. They both provide high-performance functionality on the basis of energy efficiency, aesthetic appeal, ventilation, safety and durability. However, they both provide certain different kinds of benefits, which we shall get into further. Why Aluminium? Also known as the green metal – Aluminium, today, is being heavily used in most manufacturing industries for its environment-friendly properties and its high durability and strength. Whether it be a new space or renovation of an old one, aluminium window frames are an excellent choice for every home or office or any other space. It is corrosion-resistant, highly malleable, lightweight, and yet as strong as steel. Aluminum windows come with slim frames that make them aesthetically pleasing and also highly functional. Aluminium windows and doors are extremely high-performance and easy on maintenance. Durability Aluminium windows are far less prone to warping; they are weather-proof, corrosion-resistant and immune to the harmful effects of UV rays, ensuring optimal performance with a long lifespan. Their strong window frames will last longer than wood and vinyl frames. Variety of Color Options Aluminium windows can be powder coated or anodized in thousands of colors. The only limitation in color is your imagination. Energy Efficient Because aluminium is light, malleable and easy to work with, window manufacturers are able to produce window frames that offer high levels of wind, water, and air-tightness, which means exceptional energy efficiency. Cost efficient Aluminium windows are far less expensive than wood frames. They do not leak; therefore, they can save a ton of money on energy bills. Low Maintenance As opposed to wood, aluminium does not warp or decay. Additionally, paint touchups are not needed. Aluminium is strong enough to bear the load of window lintels with minimal reinforcement. Aluminium windows are virtually maintenance free. Better Operability Aluminium is a durable substance and will keep its shape over time. Therefore, aluminium windows and doors will continue to open and slide smoothly over the years. Noise Proof Aluminium windows are much better at stopping noise than vinyl windows. Since they are three times heavier and many times stronger than Vinyl. Also, aluminium windows are best when you're opting for the soundless feature due to the fact that they can support heavier glazing than other solutions. Safety Features The linkage hardware around the window sash and the handle operating make the window have excellent safety and security. Also, aluminium windows are highly resistant to forced entry and have high-quality multipoint locking mechanisms, which makes it impossible for people to break-in. Whether you own a commercial or residential presence in Orchard Road, East Coast, Bedok or any other thriving area of Singapore, you would probably want a deeper insight into the pros and cons connected with an aluminium casement window. Here we discuss some of the important benefits as well as disadvantages of installing aluminium casement windows in your environment. Take a look. Advantages of Aluminium Casement Windows They are versatile, attractive, come in a variety of custom and pre-set designs and shapes and can be painted in just about any color. Appropriate for your posh homes and office spaces alike, these aluminium casement windows are durable, effective in keeping out sound and air pollution and boast of great strength. They are easy-to-maintain and clean and are quite resistant to cracks, dents and breaks. They also prove to be the perfect choice for Singapore's mild climate. Durability/Strength Aluminium is a strong metal and proves to be tougher than vinyl, wood, plastic or other fabricated materials used for manufacturing casement windows. Once fitted in the correct manner to a framework, these windows are long lasting and tough to dislodge or loosen. Cost Aluminium windows are not as expensive as their wooden counterparts. They are available in the middle of the cost spectrum and are quite similar to the upper/mid price ranged vinyl windows—as far as the initial cost is concerned. Maintenance An aluminum casement window requires negligible or nil maintenance on a day-to-day basis. It is highly resistant to splitting, cracking, rust or shrinking. These naturally durable windows never rust, rot, flake or peel off. You can choose from a range of self cleaning glasses to make your maintenance tasks easier. Colors and Variety Aluminium casement windows are usually available in a myriad range of sizes and colors. They can be purchased various metallic or anodized tints. You can also choose dual colored aluminium frames– wherein you get a white look inside with a black coat on the outside. Their color matched aluminium handles and trims also come in various glazing options, such as Georgian bars. These windows are quite appealing and enhance the aesthetics of your interior space—in more ways than one. Market Share Overall, aluminium windows are nice looking and boast of a large share in the commercial as well as residential markets. Their durability and other benefits make them the first option for architects, interior designers and homemakers alike. However, in comparison to vinyl windows, they sport a more industrial /commercial look– rather than a residential one. Reduction of Noise Aluminium casement windows weigh more and contain more mass than materials like vinyl and plastic. As a result, they are more equipped to keep out external noise from the interiors of your home or offices. These windows usually contain 20mm Argon-filled gaps with double draft-resistant seals as well as double rebated designs. They come with double glazing to make your environment quieter Secure Casement windows from reputed companies come packaged with a smart steel locking mechanism. These multi-point bi-directional locks ensure the highest standards of security and are usually beaded from the inside—to ensure that the encased glass is not easily removed from the outside. Warmer An aluminium casement window is specifically designed to prevent any heat transfer via the frame. It comes insulated with a Polyamide core and is usually combined with Argon filed gaps to minimize the loss of heat. It boasts of a B-Rating for general thermal performance. Peace of mind Reputed manufacturers or aluminium casement windows usually provide a long term guarantee against discoloration of your aluminium profile and ensure the least condensation and fogging in the sealed units. This helps in providing greater peace of mind and makes your investments reap higher value for money. In a nutshell, these casement windows are exciting, classy, practical, affordable and versatile. However, they come with their own set of disadvantages. Take a quick peep into the one that matter most. Heat Conductors Aluminum casement windows have a large drawback — they are very good conductors of cold and heat and therefore provide poor energy efficiency. As a result of this disadvantage, more energy is wasted by air-conditioning and heating systems; to maintain the desired temperature in an environment enclosed by aluminium windows. However, builders sacrifice the linked heat loss/gain for the durability and strength provided by aluminium frameworks—especially for larger sized window openings. Aluminium Sliding Windows Aluminium sliding windows aren't attached with a hinge, instead they move sideways. They are an ideal option where space is a constraint. They are very easy to operate as they come with two sashes and rollers at the bottom, giving you smooth side movements. Features of aluminium sliding windows: Easy to open and far simpler to operate as the sash movement also ensures better ventilation Secure locking system Noise, dust, heat, and pollution resistant Available in a range of designs and colors Sliding windows are best suited for wide openings Lightweight yet strong and durable Slim yet sturdy frames Whether you are looking for sliding windows or casement windows, Alteza has you covered. Alteza aluminium window and door frames are made from high quality raw materials that make them strong and resistant to cracking, warping, swelling or fading, giving you a window that lasts for years to come with minimal maintenance. Alteza gives you the option to customize your aluminium casement windows and sliding windows in a way that perfectly suits your desired aesthetic. From size and colour to glass and glazing, everything can be fully customized to suit your specific needs.
